During the redesign process, I had the chance to work together with a visual designer and apply all the UX research insights I had about the structure and design of the pages. In our youngsters brands we saw a lot of orientation on mobile and the final bookings on desktop. This meant that we used a mobile first approach to the design of the website.
The main pages you need for a booking website are: a homepage that inspires the target audience, a search page that allows the visitor to filter different locations and accommodations, an accommodation page where you will find details of the location and a booking flow to make the final booking.
In the design proces we used the sketch symbols functionality to build the sketch file that was easily adjustable if a brand colour would change. This also made it possible to easly switch between mobile, desktop and tablet view.
