Stadsbank van Lening

Stadsbank van Lening wanted to replace the system they use in the bank to keep track of the different pawns clients have. The project consisted out of making a new system for the employees of Stadsbank van Lening named "VIS" and making a "My stadsbank" environment where people could keep track of their own pawns, pay interest and decrease the borrowed amount.

The system that we were replacing with the new application was developed and customised over the course of many years. One of the main challenges was to change the current way of working to a more visual, easy to use system. To understand the current way of working, it was essential to meet with the appraisers, observe the current way of working and iterate on the new designs.
The new system is now in use and appraisers appreciate the new way of working.

My Stadsbank
Before starting this project, there was no online environment where customers of the Stadsbank van Lening could get an overview of all their pawns. If they wanted a full overview, they would have to call or stop by all different locations of the Stadsbank that they had pawns with.
During the project, we developed a My-environment where clients find this overview and make changes to their pawns, so they would not have to stop by the bank itself.
This new application had to be aligned with the styleguide of the City of Amsterdam, so in the proces we used their styleguide and had several meetings with the responsible persons in the municipality.
My stadsbank has been released to the public during Covid-19, when most of the banks were closed due to lockdowns. This resulted in a heavily used website by many of the banks clients.
